Introduction

As I reflect on my journey as a writer and student at Liverpool John Moores University, I’m reminded of how stories have always been a way for me to make sense of the world. Today, I’m excited to share two eBooks that are especially close to my heart, now available through the main page of My Diary.

The Grimley Mysteries #1

This story was born from my love of finding the extraordinary in the everyday. “The Grimley Mysteries #1” follows two locals in a small town as they stumble into a mystery involving some rather suspicious, musty pyjama bottoms. It’s a lighthearted tale, inspired by the quirky moments and oddities that often make life in a close-knit community so memorable. Writing this story reminded me of my own childhood adventures—how even the smallest discoveries could spark hours of imagination and laughter.

The Case of Mawton

“The Case of Mawton” takes a different turn, delving into the world of human rights archivists who uncover a secret tome hidden deep within their archives. This story grew out of my fascination with history and the idea that sometimes, the most important truths are the ones we almost overlook. Through these characters, I wanted to explore how curiosity and courage can lead us to unexpected places, and how the past can shape our understanding of justice and ourselves.

Both of these eBooks are more than just stories to me—they’re pieces of my own journey, shaped by my experiences, studies, and the people I’ve met along the way. I hope you’ll find something to enjoy, whether it’s a laugh, a moment of suspense, or simply a new perspective.
